EPCglobal USTM is a neutral, not-for-profit industry organization representing more than 500 global commerce leaders in the United States, who together are focused on improving global supply chains by use of radio frequency identification (RFID) and the Electronic Product Code (EPC). EPCglobal US is part of GS1 US (www.gs1us.org), the most widely used supply chain standards system in the world.

FASTER, EASIER, LESS EXPENSIVE: EPCglobal delivers more measurable, hard-dollar benefits for an organization than any other RFID investment. EPCglobal reduces the risks and costs of implementing EPC and RFID through a portfolio of high-value subscriber offerings focused on getting started with RFID, building business cases and capturing value from RFID, and tactical technology implementation best practices. EPCglobal also provides technology certification and test center accreditation based on our published standards.
STANDARDS BY INDUSTRY, FOR INDUSTRY: EPCglobal facilitates the development of practical, implementable technical standards that are driven solely by end user business requirements. These standards are designed to support global supply chains and global business processes across many industries. The work to develop EPCglobal standards is accomplished through the efforts of more than 3,000 participants, including some of the best minds in global technology. EPCglobal is committed to the pursuit of royalty free standards wherever possible, and all currently published EPCglobal standards are royalty free.
TECHNOLOGY AND FREQUENCY: EPCglobal is frequency-neutral, technology-neutral and vendor neutral. We develop technical standards for the use of RFID within global supply chains that best meet the business requirements of our community, irrespective of the frequency used or the technology employed. Broad adoption of RFID and EPC depends on a vibrant, diverse marketplace of hardware, software, and services but EPCglobal does not manufacture, sell, or recommend any particular technical approach.
SUPPLY CHAIN CONVERGENCE: EPCglobal uses a systematic standards development and technology approach to support an increasingly broad range of industries and supply chains. We leverage technology standards and business process best practices within and between industries to provide a strong yet flexible foundation for track and trace applications across industries and around the globe.
PUBLIC POLICY LEADERSHIP: Privacy and public policy is as important as anything else we do, and our community strongly advocates the responsible use of EPC and RFID technology. To that end, we stand behind a voluntary consumer privacy policy based on four important principles: Notice, Choice, Education, and Responsible Record Use, Retention and Security.
